Job Description:

The Data Integration Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting Project Voyager, which aims to establish a highly efficient integrated sales planning ecosystem. This role is essential for enhancing trade ROI and improving decision-making accuracy across the sales organization and supply chain. The Data Integration Manager will be responsible for establishing connections to the data available on the Data Lake from various systems and structuring data generated by new applications as part of Project Voyager.

This role is a project-based transformation role and has a current expected end date in December 2027. As we move closer to December 2027, we will work with you to explore other opportunities for employment within the Mars family of companies. If a suitable alternative role is not available at that time, your employment will end.

Key Responsibilities

The Data Integration Manager will be accountable for the following key areas:

Data Connection Establishment:

  • Develop and implement strategies to establish seamless connections between the Data Lake and various internal and external systems.
  • Ensure that data flows efficiently from source systems to the Data Lake, maintaining data integrity and security.

Data Structuring and Modeling:

  • Design and implement data models that structure data generated by new applications, making it accessible and usable for analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure that the structured data meets their needs.

Project Management:

  • Lead the data integration aspects of Project Voyager, including defining project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure that project objectives are met on time and within budget.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with IT, Sales, Supply Chain, and other relevant departments to gather requirements, address challenges, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks associated with data integration and develop mitigation strategies to address these risks proactively.
  • Monitor the integration process to ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data integration and management.
  • Propose enhancements to existing processes and systems to drive efficiency and effectiveness in data handling.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Mentor and guide team members in data integration best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and encouraging collaboration within the team.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of data integration efforts and report on progress to senior management.
  • Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • At 15 years of experience in data integration, data management, or a related field, preferably within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
  • Strong understanding of internal CPG data and systems, including shipments, material and customer attribution, and pricing data from SAP.
  • Proven experience in leading data integration projects and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in data modeling and engineering.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee's work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
