What You’ll Get to Do

The Product Engineer is focused on championing process improvement and reports to the Technical Services Manager.

This role is perfect for an individual who is hands on with great communication skills.  A vital member of the technical services team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

 

Job responsibilities include:

  • Project setup support through architectural drawing review, specification review, and proposal drawings.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.
  • Ensure support requests are handled in a timely manner while providing an effective resolution of inquiries, issues, and escalations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve challenges.
  • Coordinate project specific mockups for inhouse design confirmation and third-party testing. This may range from manufacturing applications to lab coordination to on-site installation and testing coordination. 
  • Navigate shop floor and trouble shoot engineering issues, often providing fabrication guidance through project specific construction standards, sealing standards, and glazing standards.
  • Develop and implement product standards for custom projects for internal and external customers through internal document control systems.
  • Champion safety, culture, and process improvement.

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Associate degree in an Engineering related program or 10 years of industry experience in fenestration products. (Bachelors degree in a related field is preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in product knowledge, product application, project design, manufacturing, engineering and/or application of architectural glass/fenestration products.
  • Understanding of and experience with fenestration product testing, thermal analysis and product design strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor, NFRC thermal software and structural analysis software strongly preferred.
