Occupational Therapist

Job Location: We need 4 different OT's for different areas in the counties of Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Monroe, and Livingston Counties 

Description of the role:

As an Occupational Therapist at University Home Care, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with various physical, emotional, and mental disabilities. You will help individuals regain and improve their ability to perform daily activities and achieve independence.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans
• Provide therapy sessions to improve patients' fine motor skills, coordination, and sensory integration
• Assist patients in using adaptive equipment and devices
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques and exercises
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patients' progress

Requirements:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Michigan
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
