Job Description
About the Role:
Machine Learning at Tubi drives personalization and recommendation across the app. You'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge deep learning and LLM technologies to drive the next generation of content-aware recommendation. The tech stack you and your team will be working with is Spark, Scala, Python, and Tensorflow.
This is a hybrid role in our San Francisco office.
What You'll Do:
- Empower your team to achieve a high level of technical productivity, reliability, and simplicity
- You and your team will:
- Own deliverables end-to-end, including R&D, prototyping, data pipelines, production models, and experimentation using both LLMs and classical embedding techniques
- Partner closely with teams across the company to propose and drive integrations of content understanding with applications including content ranking, cold starting, content acquisition, advertising, and more.
- Partner closely with ML Infra, Data Engineering, Data Science, Product, and other machine learning teams to create and maintain cross-functional roadmaps
- Help the machine learning engineers on your team advance in their careers and grow through 1:1s and mentoring
- Partner with Tubi's Talent Acquisition team to attract and hire top-tier engineering talent
Your Background:
- 7+ years of experience in machine learning engineering with production systems using Python, Scala, & Apache Spark
- 2+ years of experience leading/managing a team of machine learning engineers
- Experience owning large-scale, realtime recommendation or search models
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Physics or related field. PhD preferred
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is listed annually below. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, long-term incentive plan, and various benefits including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
California Compensation
Base ($239,700 to $342,500 / year) + Bonus + Long-Term Incentive Plan+ Benefits
