Job Description
Homestead Village is a thriving non-profit, CARF-CCAC accredited, Life Plan Community located just outside vibrant Downtown Lancaster. We are seeking a Full Time; Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm CDL Driver to join our transportation team! The ideal candidate will be someone who is honest, dependable, and safety conscious. Someone who must have an excellent driving record, CDL licensure required, good judgement, and excellent customer service with older adults!
Full Time Driver - 8:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday; occasional weekends may be required for events.
Qualifications:
- Pennsylvania Driver's License, excellent driving record.
- CDL license w/ passenger endorsement, required.
- Good judgement and ability to work independently.
- Excellent Customer Service with older adult customers.
- Honest, dependable, and safety conscious.
Responsibilities (the following is an overview of the responsibilities of the position and should not be considered to be all inclusive):
- Drive to and from doctor/dental appointments as scheduled, daily practicing good driving habits.
- Assistance may be required with wheelchairs and partially ambulatory residents.
- Drive to and from planned activities and special events.
- Maintain assigned vehicle(s) in proper working condition; keeping clean, serviced, and fueled.
- Schedule and call residents as necessary to provide proper timing for optimum service, as deemed necessary by supervisor.
- Be flexible, receptive, and adaptive to change.
- Escort residents to/from Homestead Village vehicle.
- Maintain daily logs for vehicle inspections, use of vehicles, travel logs, and fuel.
