Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ascertain insurance information from patients prior to service
Contact insurance company, as needed, to verify patient coverage
Obtain authorization for procedures and services, as required.
Qualification Requirements:
Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
Good communication and telephone skills
Good computer skills; must be able to type 45 wpm
Knowledge of medical insurance/authorization process
Education And/Or Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent
Previous experience in obtaining insurance authorizations
Confidential And Sensitive Information:
- Must properly control the release of proprietary and confidential information.
