Job Description

Apprenticely is helping The Pine Bluff Convention Center hire a Sales & Events Coordinator. 
Are you an outgoing personality that enjoys working directly with customers to host special events? Are you tech savvy and enjoy using your creative skills designing promotional flyers & brochures? If so, keep reading....

The Sales & Events Coordinator plays a key role in planning, executing and promoting special events for the convention center. This position is to market the city of Pine Bluff and the Pine Bluff Convention Center as a destination of choice for meetings, conferences, conventions, sporting events, and social events, with the goal of increasing Convention Center bookings.

Job Duties:
Maintain and create promotional flyers, brochures and presentation materials (MS Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, Canva)
Assist Senior Sales Manager to identify and solicit new business for the PBCC
Make outbound calls to past clients; Receive and follow-up on sales inquiries from website
Maintain accurate booking details in Concentrix event planning software
Ensure event logistics align with client specifications
Assist with technical equipment setup (sound systems, video projectors, etc)
Provide upcoming event details and event photos for social media purposes

Additional Details:
Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with 1 hour for lunch
Occasional after-hours necessary for special events (evenings and/or weekends)

Requirements

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Established computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently of others.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Self-starter who desires to show ownership and commitment to the role.
  • Must be of legal age to serve and sell alcohol
  • Valid drivers license
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Hospitality, Marketing or Communication experience preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Onsite daily office presence at Pine Bluff Convention Center in Pine Bluff Arkansas - This position is not remote.
