Job Description
Working in a fast-paced collaborative team environment, the Graphic Designer is the day-to-day backbone of the team. Perfecting their production skills and developing their ability to explore creative concepts, the Graphic Designer delivers on a broad range of projects under the direction of the Creative Lead. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, is experienced in a range of graphic design areas and revels in a fast-paced environment where everyone is expected to have fun, contribute and take part in the creative direction of the company.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- Design and produce high-quality graphics for retail, social media, digital assets, presentations, and print materials
- Design and execute graphics to meet product or campaign direction
- Ability to retail or marketing concepts across multiple pieces as part of a complete campaign
- Reformatting and updating existing creative for final file delivery
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and content teams to develop visual assets that align with brand guidelines
- Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity
- Collaborates with other Designers on creative thinking and problem solving
- Daily upkeep of project management software and archiving of completed jobs
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail
- Maintain consistency in visual branding across all touchpoints
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and presentations skills
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to interpret and follow design guidelines, creative briefs and feedback
- Knowledge of printing process and how to create print ready files
- Positive and collaborative attitude
- Ability to recognize opportunities for more creative thinking within a project
- Willingness to follow and create standard process and practice strong file organization
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and self-manage personal deadlines
- Understanding of basic design elements (Line, Shape, Direction, Size, Texture and Color) and principles of design (Balance, Proximity, Alignment, Contrast, Repetition and Space)
- Working knowledge of corporate software including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (With an emphasis on Adobe InDesign CC)
- Experience in sports industry a plus
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design required
- 3+ years of experience as a graphic designer in the creative field
- Strong portfolio of high level produced work
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
- Normal office conditions
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary
- Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
TaylorMade is a performance driven organization and our total rewards approach to compensation is designed to support this. We consider many factors in determining base compensation, including position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. The expected annual base pay range for this position is $73,000 - $85,000. Additional benefits, such as health & wellness, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays, paid time off, etc. may also be offered in accordance with our plans.
