Job Description
The IS Project Manager will support and develop IS Project Management Office. This includes the continued development of a complete IS Project Management System to be used for all IS projects. Manage large, complex implementation projects for IS involving financial, enterprise, or clinical applications.
Specific duties may include, but not limited to:
Support and revise standardized project management process for all projects. This includes development, training, and implementation of the process.
Follows project methodology defined by the Project Management Office (PMO). Responsible for all aspects of the project over the entire project life (initiate, plan, execute, control, close).
Leverages knowledge of project management for benefit of the PMO. This includes conducting project management training as needed.
Oversees multiple projects or individual larger projects. Coordinates the activities of the team members to successfully implement the project.
Leads teams to evaluate, select and implement solutions with consideration for users' unique needs and work environments.
Identifies appropriate resources needed, assembles project teams, assigns individual responsibilities, and develops project schedules in coordination with management.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Ind Engineering, Healthcare Admin or related field required.
Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Ind Engineering, Healthcare Admin or related field preferred.
Experience
Project management experience required.
Software implementation and support experience preferred.
Healthcare experience preferred.
Certification & Licensure
PMP certification is required within 18 months of hire date.
Qualifications
Strong organizational and analytical skills required. PC computer skills, including Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint and Visio required Strong communication skills (verbal and written) required.
