Job Summary:
The Digital Associate is responsible for safe and accurate operation of Digital Presses and production equipment.
Essential Functions
• Reads and understands job tickets and/or special instructions.
• Performs all necessary quality control inspections.
• Stages paper and ensures correct paper grain is being used per job tickets.
• Moves, loads and unloads paper rolls to digital presses as needed.
• Feeds material through production equipment and observes control points.
• Sets up new print jobs on equipment.
• Performs printer head maintenance and ink drum replacements.
• Calibrates presses, interprets results, and adjusts accordingly.
• Understands departmental production reports.
• Works cooperatively with other departments to help achieve manufacturing goals.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
Education Required
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge & Experience
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment required.
• Computer skills required.
• Basic math and reading skills required.
Physical Demands
• Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to safely push/pull up to 100lbs.
• Ability to stand on concrete floor for long periods of time.
• Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel, twist, and bend freely.
