Position Overview
Verra Mobility is searching for a Finance Director within its Technology Business Unit, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer. This position is responsible for partnering across the organization to help model the strategic and financial vision of the Verra Mobility Technology Organization. The Finance Director will leverage their financial modeling skills, business acumen, leadership, curiosity, and communication skills to provide insights and clarity around financial performance and projections. The ideal candidate will be able to take a strategic view of the Verra Mobility Technology Organization and provide analysis and recommendations at an executive level to maximize shareholder value.
Essential Responsibilities
- Coordinate financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and reporting efforts to drive efficient financial operations.
- Monitor business performance and planning investment, budgeting, and financial strategies.
- Support the annual planning and quarterly forecast process, including development of headcount and operating expense projections for all IT departments, along with business unit allocations. Further, the Finance Manager will partner across the IT Organization to develop and update the capital budget.
- Responsible for managing and updating the long-range forecast model.
- Review financial statements, reports, and models to develop business insights, create financial projections, and advise cost management and investment decisions.
- Develop the playbook to identify, track, and report on IT cost initiatives.
- Perform in-depth variance analysis and develop bridges to understand key drivers, and present findings at an Executive level.
- Partner with the Accounting Department to ensure monthly results are complete, accurate, and properly reflect the performance of the IT Organization.
- Develop quarterly reporting and analysis of results and KPI's for executive leadership.
- Communicate complex financial information and concepts to both financial and non-financial business leaders to support and influence decision making.
- Leverage Corporate Planning Module to create timely and insightful financial reporting and analytics including, but not limited to, dashboards, scorecards, and playbook.
- Partner and oversight of accounting, purchases, etc.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of progressively increasing responsibility in finance.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, along with solid ability with other Office applications (Word, Outlook).
- Individual must be able to take initiative, draw conclusions, and own outcomes.
- Ability to develop complex financial models but summarize key metrics and conclusions in an executive manner.
- Experience with Oracle/NetSuite Planning and Budgeting.
- Sense of urgency with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to lead projects, challenge assumptions, and achieve positive results.
