Hiring Range: $65,769.60 to $87,692.80
Pay Range: $65,769.60 to $98,654.40
Clinician II:
Hiring Range: $75,296.00 to $100,401.60
Pay Range: $75,296.00 to $112,964.80

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Clinician is responsible for providing clinical interventions tailored to the customer-owner needs and prepare them for participation in learning circles. Will work with teenage boys and girls in a residential treatment facility.
This position has two (2) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in behavioral health field including Counseling, Psychology or Social Work; OR PhD/PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
Obtain Alaska Clinical Licensure in designated field within four (4) years of hire.
Additional Qualifications for Clinician II: Meets all requirements of Clinician I in addition to the following:
Two (2) years of supervised clinical work experience for Master's level Behavioral Health; OR two (2) years of post-graduate clinical experience for PhD or PsyD level; OR demonstrated proficiency as a Clinician I at SCF.
Current Alaska Clinical Licensure in designated field.
Position Summary:
The Milieu Clinician is a key member of The Pathway Home treatment team responsible for providing therapeutic support, clinical guidance, and emotional regulation coaching to Customer-Owners (COs) within the residential setting. This position plays a vital role in integrating trauma-informed care throughout the daily milieu, using the ARC (Attachment, Regulation, and Competency) framework to foster healing, build resilience, and promote developmental growth. The Milieu Clinician works collaboratively with direct care staff to ensure a safe, structured, and relationally rich environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide Clinical Support to COs in the Milieu:
- Engage with COs throughout the day to build trust and connection, model healthy relationships, and reinforce coping and regulation skills in real time.
- Offer brief therapeutic interventions and real-time processing when COs experience distress, conflict, or dysregulation.
- Support COs in understanding their behaviors and emotional responses through attunement, validation, and appropriate redirection.
- Maintain awareness of milieu dynamics and intervene proactively to support emotional and physical safety for all residents and staff.
- Reinforce program expectations and support COs in developing internal accountability and self-reflection skills.
- Assist in the implementation and follow-through of safety plans, behavior support plans, and restorative interventions.
Groups:
- Design and deliver groups focused on emotional regulation, identity development, healthy relationships, and social skill-building.
- Integrate ARC principles into group content and delivery, adjusting based on developmental level and readiness of COs.
Collaborate with and Support Direct Care Staff:
- Provide in-the-moment coaching to direct care staff during difficult CO interactions.
- Model trauma-informed approaches to behavior management and assist staff in maintaining regulated responses during crises.
- Offer informal debriefings and encouragement to help staff reflect, recover, and grow professionally.
Contribute to Multidisciplinary Treatment Planning:
- Observe COs' functioning and emotional patterns in the milieu and provide clinical insights to the treatment team.
- Participate in team meetings, clinical reviews, and family engagement when appropriate.
- Assist in identifying triggers, strengths, and needs to inform individualized treatment goals.
