Job Description

Job Summary

The Gas Plant Maintenance Supervisor will lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities for BaRupOn's natural gas-fired power facility. This associate-level position focuses on ensuring operational readiness, equipment reliability, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience supervising a maintenance crew in a power plant or heavy industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance on turbines, compressors, pumps, piping, valves, and control systems
  • Lead a team of maintenance technicians and contractors, assigning work orders and managing priorities
  • Ensure plant equipment is maintained in accordance with safety, environmental, and operational standards
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues and coordinate with engineering staff as needed
  • Maintain accurate logs of inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules
  • Assist with spare parts management, inventory control, and vendor coordination
  • Support outage planning, shutdowns, and equipment upgrades
  • Enforce safety policies and participate in toolbox talks and hazard assessments

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in power generation or industrial plant maintenance
  • Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Technology (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong knowledge of gas plant systems (e.g., turbines, piping, motors, instrumentation)
  • Hands-on skills in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair
  • Experience supervising maintenance crews or contractors
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance scheduling tools
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work in an industrial environment

Preferred Certifications

  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • NCCER, NIMS, or industrial maintenance certifications a plus
  • First Aid/CPR
