Job Summary & Responsibilities
The Senior Manager of Hardware Engineering in the Service Sustaining group will oversee projects focused on service sustaining engineering, including extending the service lifetime for various products and expanding the available upgrades portfolio for the existing installed base. This will be a hands-on role in a new and growing Service Sustaining Engineering team. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage engineering projects for the growing Service Sustaining Engineering team.
- Enable product life extension through obsolescence engineering and feature development.
- Grow system refurbishment and upgrades offerings in support of service revenue goals.
- Support service efficiency and margin targets.
- Support cost reduction efforts through CIP engineering, parts repair strategies, and 2nd sourcing of suppliers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals align with business objectives.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
- Manage offshore engineering resources effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor equipment or a related field.
- Proven track record of managing multiple engineering projects.
- Background in design; a focus on sustaining engineering is a plus.
- Broad understanding of semiconductor capital equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with experience working in a cross-functional environment.
