Job Summary:

This position designs, builds, and operates CI/CD pipelines and maintains Linux servers. This position collaborates with development, QA, and operations to automate build, test, and deployment workflows for Spring Boot and Python/Flask services (AWS Lambda, ECS, EKS), and ensures infrastructure is secure, reliable, and scalable.

Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, maintain, operate, and administer servers and applications, mainly in a Linux Server environment.
• Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure and tools required for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment, leveraging technologies such as AWS EKS, Jenkins, GitHub, ArgoCD, and Docker Hub.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement efficient and reliable software release processes.
• Automate manual processes, build and deployment tasks, and configuration management using infrastructure-as-code principles, relevant scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash), and YAML.
• Manage source control systems (e.g., GitHub and SVN), build servers (e.g., Jenkins), and image repositories (e.g., Docker Hub), ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Monitor the performance of servers, software, and hardware in those environments, as well as perform upgrades, application patches, and deployments.
• Support and optimize applications built with the Spring Framework (or similar frameworks).
• Ensure the security and integrity of production and development environments by implementing necessary measures and best practices.
• Serve as SME in the Triaging/RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for issues identified as impairing or impacting the service or reliability of La-Z-Boy Systems.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends related to DevOps and Linux Administration, and drive their adoption to continuously improve our DevOps practices.

SCOPE & IMPACT:

This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, optimizing infrastructure and tools to ensure efficient software delivery. They monitor key metrics, impacting technology budgets, while driving innovation and fostering continuous improvement. Their expertise contributes to high-quality product deployment and plays a vital role in building and maintaining a robust DevOps environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field with 4-6 years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
• Expertise in infrastructure-as-code principles. In-depth knowledge of DevOps tools.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python or Bash, as well as YAML.
• Experience with containerization technologies and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to effectively work with both technical staff and business process owners
• Strong attention to detail

PREFERED REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-4 years experience in J2EE application servers (Tomcat, Jboss, Weblogic, etc.)
• 1-2 years of basic administration of DB's running on Linux (Postgres, MySQL, etc.)
• Prior experience with log aggregation/monitoring tools and APM (Splunk, Logzilla, Loggly, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, etc.)
