Job Description
Downeast clothing is looking for a Technical Design Assistant to support our product development and design team. This role is a part-time position with flexible hours 3–5 days a week at our offices in Logan, UT.

We’re seeking a highly organized, hands-on, and reliable Technical Design Assistant to help keep our product pipeline moving smoothly—from sample intake to photoshoot prep and fitting organization. - Measure and prep all incoming apparel samples with precision
- Catalog and check in samples for photoshoots and fittings
- Organize and prepare garments for shoots (steaming, tagging, packing)
- File and archive samples after fittings in our sample archive
- Keep sample and fitting spaces clean, organized, and photo-ready
- Cut, weigh, and record fabric data to verify fiber content and weight
- Support general administrative tasks related to product development
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of garment construction and fashion terminology preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data entry
- Comfortable lifting and moving boxes/samples (up to ~30 lbs)
- Strong work ethic and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator and PLM systems is a plus
