Job Summary

The Clinical Coordinator of Rehabilitation Services acts as a leader and mentor to all staff and employees of CHOC Children's. Responsibilities include helping the department maintain productivity standards by matching staffing levels with current census needs, working directly with Financial Coordinators to facilitate daily schedule changes (if applicable), responsible for facilitating the triage of new referrals/orders in respective service lines, provides direct patient care which includes evaluation, assessment, treatment planning and modification as necessary, as determined by the needs of the department. Will also provide feedback to rehabilitation leader(s) during the performance appraisal process, facilitates new hire orientation to service line, and coordinates clinical education opportunities to current staff. May be requested to attend department and hospital-wide meetings to facilitate program development within service lines.

Pay Range

Minimum $52.93 Midpoint $70.13 Maximum $87.32

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

  • Required: Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience.
  • Preferred: One (1) year of clinical experience within CHOC Children's.

Education

  • Required:Graduated from an Accredited professional college or university.

Specialized Skills

  • Required: Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite e.g., Word, Excel PowerPoint etc. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively at a level appropriate for the safe and effective performance of the job. Strong analytical and organization skills; strong critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Licensure

  • Required: Basic Life Support (BLS); CCS Paneled- Department of Healthcare Services; Occ Therapist License- CA; Physical Therapist License- CA; SLP - Board of Speech Language Pathology, Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers.

Work Environments- Functional Demand:

Medium- High energy level Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Push/pull +/- 150-200 lbs. (Patients on bed, stretcher) Lateral transfer 150-200 lbs. (ie. Patient) .
