Job Description
Job Summary:
The Standard Product Engineering Manager focuses on the support of NuAire’s standard airflow products and CO2 incubators along with designing and developing new products and features based on customer specifications. They will have strong experience in sheet metal fabrication, CAD design, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure products are manufacturable, cost-effective, and delivered on time.

Salary Range is from $80,000 - $120,000.00 Starting salary will be dependent on experience level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of engineers and CAD designers that support individual product lines and create new designs.
- Manage design and development projects and comply with stage gate process.
- Coordinate product releases across department: sales, marketing, and production.
- Lead value engineering projects to reduce internal costs and/or reduce assembly time.
- Collaborate closely with sales, production, quality, and purchasing teams to ensure product designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with lead times.
- Identify and implement improvements to engineering workflows, design standards, and manufacturing efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a sheet metal design or manufacturing engineering role.
- Familiar with 3D modeling ideally in Autodesk Inventor, experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes (laser cutting, bending, punching, welding,).
- Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles specific to sheet metal.
- Familiar with ERP systems (Infor LN).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external customers.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards relevant to industry (e.g., ISO, NSF, UL, CE) is advantageous.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel.
- Familiarity with common industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AWS welding codes).
