This position is on-site in Lexington, KY.
The Corporate Security Specialist is a key member of the organization's security team and is responsible for safeguarding company executives and assets. This role emphasizes executive protection while supporting a comprehensive corporate security strategy. The specialist ensures a secure operating environment for executives and provides robust threat assessment and response capabilities to mitigate risks in corporate and travel settings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement tailored executive protection plans, focusing on the personal safety of executives and their families.
- Accompany executives during business travel, public events, and daily commutes, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Conduct advance planning for activities and venues, identifying vulnerabilities and creating risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor potential threats, including geopolitical developments, crime trends, and internal vulnerabilities, and provide actionable intelligence to the security team.
- Perform detailed threat and risk assessments related to the executive's personal and professional environments.
- Collaborate with internal security teams and external agencies to maintain comprehensive corporate security protocols.
- Act as the primary responder during security breaches or emergencies involving executives, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
- Effectively communicate, utilizing interpersonal skills for interacting, with executives and cross-functional teams.
- Work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, and travel on short notice.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
Equivalent experience may substitute for minimum educational requirements. Equivalent experience may include five (5) years of relevant experience.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of corporate security, executive protection, law enforcement, or military service experience required. Strong knowledge of risk management, threat analysis, and security technologies required. Proficiency in self-defense techniques, defensive driving, and emergency medical response required.
Prior professional experience or specialized training in executive protection, security operations preferred. Continuous education in risk management, crisis response, or security technologies is an asset.
CERTIFICATIONS
Certifications in executive protection, defensive tactics, and any specialized training in risk assessment or security management required.
Specialized training in Executive Protection (i.e. LaSorsa Executive Protection Training- Bodyguard Training) preferred.
LICENSES
Valid Driver's License required. Valid Passport required. Valid Concealed Carry Deadly Weapons (CCDW) permit required.
