Job Description:
Summary:
The Office Assistant (FWS) position for the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office works under direct supervision of the Special Assistant to the Dean and the CAS Senior Administrative Assistant. The Office assistants may enjoy a level of creative freedom in their role.
Responsibilities:
Completing day to day tasks for the Dean's Office (greeting visitors and answering multi-line telephone).
Creating lists in Excel and proposals in Word.
Gathering research for the study abroad programs, workshops, and classes.
Creating content for social media pages/posters for upcoming events.
Planning logistics timelines and updating documentation.
Handling external reviews.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-Time.
Must be available weekdays 9am to 5pm with preference of availability on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Weekly maximum hours to be determined.
Salary Range:
- $17.95 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work in a team and in multicultural environments.
Quality customer service and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable moving event packages/light furniture/equipment and able to lift 25 pounds.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Prior knowledge and experience in an office environment is a plus.
Skills in Canva, Asana, Microsoft Office applications; SharePoint, Excel, Word PowerPoint, etc. can be helpful for this position.
