Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $91,000.00 - $121,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)
About This Job
This position is in the Commerce Corporate Treasury Department. Treasury is responsible for the management of the balance sheet in terms of interest rate risk, liquidity, and capital. Treasury also produces the Company's net interest income projection as well as key profitability measures. Treasury reports to the Company's CFO.
Essential Functions
Assist with producing the Company's net interest income (NII) forecast
Serve as a backup for the Liquidity and Capital Planning Manager as needed
Utilize Qualitative Risk Management (QRM) forecasting software to produce the Company's net interest income (NII) forecast
Help produce assumptions used in the forecast - how new business is priced and where new dollars go.
Support preparation of reports for liquidity and capital
Prepare data to be used in QRM and analyze how data impacts other Treasury functions
Prepare reports for the Treasurer including net interest income (NII) reports
Support profitability by helping with internal funds transfer pricing and/or economic capital allocations
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Intermediate understanding of a bank balance sheet, income forecasting and cash flows in relation to bank products
Intermediate understanding of QRM
Intermediate understanding of market rates and how they impact income
Intermediate understanding of accounting and finance
Intermediate understanding of databases
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Teams and Outlook
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience required
3+ years' banking related experience required
3+ years' experience in a Finance or Treasury role preferred
Level of role is determined by knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $91,000 to $121,000 annually.
