Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own the GEICO Benefits budget including annual planning, reforecasts, variance analyses and return on investment analyses

  • Work closely with Program Managers on the Benefits team to estimate costs for each plan, program or initiative owned by that Program Manager. Assist Program Managers in identifying forecast assumptions and key drivers based on utilization changes, annual renewals, vendor implementation, etc.

  • Lead the budgeting process for Benefits including liaising with the Corporate FP&A team, Benefits Program Managers and external benefits consultants to develop forecasts, assess reasonableness and understand key drivers and emerging trends

  • Track actual results vs. budget and liaise with Program Managers to understand variances

  • Partner with key stakeholders to create standardized frameworks to identify, assess and track KPIs

  • Develop and prepare analyses to facilitate quarterly financial reviews in broader discussions with leadership, create ad hoc reporting, and develop financial models to provide data driven insights for decision making

  • Act as the primary Finance liaison to the Head of Benefits and Senior Director of Health & Wellness

This is a hybrid role, in office 3x a week

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 7+ years experience in budget development, tracking, analysis, reporting, and stakeholder engagement

  • Employee Benefits budgeting experience, banking or consulting experience is a plus

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders, working comfortably with ambiguity and with a high sense of urgency

  • Strong project management skills

  • Able to work autonomously and provide independent opinions

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex issues concisely

  • Strong analytical skills to manage large data volumes, understand and produce trends with commentary

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Workday)

  • Adheres to the GEICO Code of Conduct, company policies, and operating principles

Annual Salary

$130,175.00 - $212,175.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
