Job Description
THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
Sciensâ¯Building Solutionsâ¯isâ¯seekingâ¯aâ¯Service Sales Representativeâ¯for our fire-life safetyâ¯and securityâ¯business.â¯Theâ¯Sales Representative’s focus will be on newâ¯opportunities viaâ¯end-user customers and expanding services to existing customersâ¯whileâ¯managingâ¯and growingâ¯the business throughâ¯the selling of new service contractsâ¯within the assigned territory.â¯
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)
- Sellâ¯service and maintenance contracts,â¯and other related services; achieve orders/booking.
- Achieveâ¯annual quota assigned and agreed upon by the General Manager or Sales Manager on a consistent basisâ¯after initial ramp up period.â¯
- Createâ¯new market share by selling a broad range of services to new customers.â¯â¯
- Demonstrate strong prospecting skills and the ability to build customer relationships through consultative selling and promoting customer confidence inâ¯Sciens.â¯Searchâ¯for and qualifyâ¯opportunities on an ongoing basis; followâ¯up with prospects in a timely manner.â¯â¯
- Conductâ¯postâ¯contract acceptanceâ¯followâ¯up by contacting customers, ensuring commitments were met, and affirmingâ¯customer satisfaction once the customer hasâ¯purchased aâ¯service agreement.â¯
- Perform needs assessments, develops sales proposals, estimates,â¯and presentations.â¯Through the company’s CRM tool, provide accurate forecast of activity and potential sales.â¯â¯
- Maintainâ¯an in-depth knowledge of complete line of products/services andâ¯customers’â¯requirementsâ¯through in-house training,â¯networking,â¯and research.â¯â¯
- Utilizeâ¯approved marketing materials to present sales presentationsâ¯and proposalsâ¯to prospects, assuring the customer understands our value proposition, positive features,â¯and advantages of our products and services over those of the competition.â¯
- Independently establish call plans and customer followâ¯up strategies and tactics; consistently applyâ¯time and territory management techniques.â¯â¯
- Work withâ¯systems sales,â¯operations, finance, legal, and other inside and outside resources as needed to obtain sales.â¯â¯
- Developâ¯and executeâ¯tacticalâ¯sales strategies,â¯including endâ¯users,â¯developers,â¯and property managers.â¯â¯
- Prepareâ¯sales promotion campaigns for customers to promoteâ¯service offeringsâ¯to commercial markets.â¯
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
- Two to fiveâ¯years consistently meeting or exceeding quotas of sellingâ¯service and maintenance contractsâ¯toâ¯end user customersâ¯or related activity.â¯â¯
- Consultative selling expertise.â¯â¯
- Consistent sales performance, ability to organically grow business by providing solutions to new client base.â¯â¯
- Effective communication skillsâ¯and abilityâ¯to present toâ¯broadâ¯audiences.â¯
- Strong negotiation skills and competitive spirit.â¯
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Candidates with a combination of education and experience will also be considered.â¯â¯

- Compensation: $75,000 - 90,000 annually based on experience
