Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support daily billing operations, ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing.
  • Generate and distribute invoices to clients in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review invoices to ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Monitor accounts receivable to track payments and follow up on overdue balances.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or client inquiries professionally.
  • Review and process invoices, credits, and adjustments as needed.
  • Work closely with team members to resolve billing discrepancies, customer questions, and system issues.
  • Train, mentor, and support billing staff-answering questions, reviewing work, and stepping in as needed.
  • Monitor billing queues and workloads to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Sales, Customer Support, Accounting) to ensure smooth billing workflows.
  • Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end closing tasks.
  • Maintain and improve billing procedures and documentation.
  • Help implement new tools or system updates impacting billing operations.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of billing or accounts receivable experience, including at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Strong working knowledge of billing systems and processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., Great Plains, NetSuite, Salesforce, SAP).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
  • Strong communicator with a team-first mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in SaaS or Data Company
  • Familiarity with billing compliance standards and best practices.
  • Prior experience in a high-volume billing environment.
