Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) – School Based

Established in 1980, the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center (GLFHC) is a multi-site, mission-driven non-profit organization employing over 600 staff members whose primary focus is providing the highest quality patient care to residents throughout the Merrimack Valley. Nationally recognized as a leader in community medicine (family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, and geriatrics), GLFHC has clinical sites throughout the service area and is the sponsoring organization for the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program.

GLFHC is currently seeking a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to provide clinical social work services to student patients and families of the Greater Lawrence Technical School

. • Counsels and provides crisis intervention, assessment, and treatment.

• Coaches patients on how to manage ongoing mental health conditions and provides therapy to help patients make positive behavior changes.

• Reviews the patient’s medical history and completes the assessment and care plan. Maintains accurate and timely records.

• Performs evidence-based treatment methods, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Functional Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

• Provides mental health education to patients and families in a clear, concise manner, with sensitivity to patients’ level of understanding, culture, age, and language.

Requirements • Bilingual; Spanish and English; preferred • Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, or Psychology. • LICSW, LMHC, LCSW, or MSW in Massachusetts. • BLS Certification. • Massachusetts Child & Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) certification.
