CACI is seeking an experienced Graphic Artist, Journeyman to support our customer, U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM), in Doral, Florida. This position is contingent upon award of the USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES II). Demonstrates proficiency in creating visually appealing graphics across various media, maintaining consistency with applicable guidelines and aesthetics.  

 

Graphic Artist, Journeyman: 

  • Creates visually appealing graphics across tasks for a variety of media, including print, digital, and multimedia, maintaining consistency with USSOUTHCOM guidelines in all designs and improving the warfighter experience (WX) 

  • Develops layouts for marketing materials, brochures, presentations, posters, and websites 

  • Collaborates with program and project teams, or Government personnel to understand project requirements and objectives, editing and manipulating images, graphics, and photos to fit the design needs of a project 

  • Develops initial design concepts and proposals based on project goals and target audience 

  • Produces original illustrations, logos, icons, and other graphical elements to enhance design work 

  • Uses graphic design software to create and refine digital artwork 

  • Coordinates with other team members (editors, photographers, technical specialists) to ensure all aspects of the communications project are covered 

  • Prepares final design files for print or digital use, ensuring proper file formats, resolution, and color profiles 

  • Ensures all graphic elements are organized and ready for delivery to printers, users, or other external vendors 

  • Maintains an understanding of the Combatant Commands' (CCMDs) aesthetic and applies it consistently across all platforms and media 

  • Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments 

  • Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems 

 

Education & Experience:  

  • Must have Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) 

  • A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience  

  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance. 

  • Exhibits expertise in developing layouts for marketing materials, collaborating with teams to understand project requirements, and producing original illustrations and graphical elements.  

  • Shows ability to use graphic design software effectively, creating and refining digital artwork for diverse project needs.  

  • Possesses skills to coordinate with team members, prepare final design files, and ensure proper organization of graphic elements for delivery.  

  • Displays competence in applying expertise across multiple complex work assignments, developing methodologies, and presenting solutions to problems. 

  • Demonstrates capacity to operate with appreciable latitude in graphic design projects, from concept development to final execution.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$51,800-$106,200
