Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and responsible individual to join our team as a HVAC Start-up Technician.
- Knowledge of chillers, boilers, air handlers, and HVAC systems
- Performs pre-functional inspections/checklist and start-up of commercial HVAC systems
- Performs installation, diagnostic and repairs on refrigeration systems at time of startup and warranty period
- Reading of and understanding of control wiring and high voltage wiring diagrams
- Interprets blue prints, submittal data and installation/operation manuals to provide complete startup per manufactures recommendations
- Documents work by completing all paperwork on each job for each piece of equipment.
- Assist installation mechanics in completing and mounting of field installed devices on equipment prior to start up as needed
- Trouble shoot issues as they arise
- Work with Commissioning agents as required and complete require documentation
- 4 year minimum experience in installation and startup of HVAC equipment
- Communication and customer service skills
- Computer skills in using Microsoft office and/or IPad for generation of field reports/startup forms
- Knowledge of control and equipment sequence of operations
- VRF installation and startup is a plus
