Job Overview:
Redmond Parks & Recreation is seeking a high-energy and compassionate Fitness Instructor to lead our Super Mom Stroller Fitness Class, designed specifically for postpartum mothers and caregivers with infants or toddlers in strollers. This unique outdoor/indoor fitness class supports physical wellness, social connection, and a supportive environment for parents with young children.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruct fun, safe, and effective group fitness sessions focused on strength, cardio, and flexibility
Provide stroller-friendly modifications suitable for new moms and all fitness levels
Foster a welcoming, judgment-free environment where caregivers feel supported and encouraged
Arrive early for setup and ensure a smooth, organized class session
Engage with participants to track progress and provide motivation
Communicate with Redmond Parks & Recreation and report attendance and feedback regularly
Qualifications:
Minimum 1–2 years of group fitness instruction, ideally with pre/postnatal experience
Group Fitness or Personal Training certification preferred (ACE, AFAA, NASM, etc.)
Experience working with postpartum populations a plus
Strong interpersonal skills and a nurturing, upbeat personality
Must be punctual, organized, and professional
