Position Overview:

Verra Mobility is seeking a Solution Architect with background in Azure cloud, .NET, and Oracle technologies to lead a complex enterprise transformation project, including on-premises to cloud migration, disaster recovery (DR), and end-to-end infrastructure, database, and data warehouse/reporting solutions. Experience with Azure Government Cloud and public sector compliance is essential.

To be successful as a solution architect, you should be able to integrate any updated specifications and requirements into the systems architecture. An outstanding solution architect should be able to explain complex problems to management in layman's terms.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust Azure cloud architectures for enterprise applications built on .NET and Oracle, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with government standards.
  • Lead and execute on-premises to Azure cloud migration strategies, including assessment, planning, execution, and optimization phases.
  • Architect and oversee end-to-end infrastructure solutions, including compute, storage, networking, identity, and security, with a focus on high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Develop and optimize database and data warehouse solutions on Azure, integrating Oracle and other data platforms as needed for reporting and analytics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, operations, security, compliance) to deliver integrated solutions that meet business and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and enforce architecture policies, standards, and best practices, especially around Azure Government Cloud, data privacy, and IT compliance.
  • Experience with FedRAMP ATO & Compliance is a plus.
  • Mentor and guide technical teams, provide architectural leadership, and perform technical reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Advise stakeholders and translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and cost-effective Azure solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related work experience.
  • Minimum 10 Years' Experience in Architecture, Solution Design & Development
  • 10+ years in enterprise IT, with 2+ years as a solution architect on Azure cloud projects.
  • Proven success in on-premises to Azure cloud migration, including legacy .NET and Oracle workloads.
  • Strong expertise in Azure services: Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, Azure Active Directory, Azure SQL, and Data Warehouse (Synapse, Data Factory).
  • Deep experience in disaster recovery (DR) planning and implementation for mission-critical systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of database architecture, data warehousing, and enterprise reporting solutions (Oracle, SQL Server, Power BI, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Government Cloud and understanding of public sector compliance and security requirements.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC), automation, and DevOps practices (ARM, Bicep, Terraform, Azure DevOps).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to present complex solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Successful completion of the Nlets fingerprinting background assessment
  • Must be located in Arizona and willing to commute 2 days into our Mesa, Arizona office.
