Position Overview
VP Specialty Retail
The Vice President of Specialty Retail is crucial in creating and driving the vision of growth and longevity for our specialty retailers. This key leadership role will collaborate cross functionally to ensure independent retailers are supported by our internal teams to achieve success. Success will be realized through strategic planning, budgeting, and innovating to create profitable growth. The leaders reporting to this role will be accountable for SFN, distribution, national accounts, promotions, and the Shaw company store. It will be critical for this leader to join forces with peers and retail sales leadership to set the strategies in these segments.
Essential Duties:
Develop and meet the goals and budgets within the specialty retail segment (track and report on the developed KPIs)
Lead the strategy for segmentation and work with peers and internal partners to execute for SFN and non-aligned retailers
Promote and drive the high priority objectives of the business unit, while ensuring customer tie in and coproduction
Create plan with retail sales leader to drive specialty retail growth in each geo
Collaborate with sales leadership on key SFN and corporate initiatives
Drive the top 3 national and local monthly priorities
Adopt the trade pro program from the test study and drive execution of selected plan forward
Support National Accounts and help create strategy to improve growth and profitability
Strategize on the company store opportunities and services that we can bring to retailers and consumers
Examine distribution business for synergies with retail and how to create a better strategy and growth plan going forward
Participate in L&P, S&OP, product road maps to set plans for future product and forecast needs for the specialty retailers
Deliver on goals in line with business plan and proactively work with financial partner to drive the right behaviors throughout team
Drive rewards program and consistently review ROI for Shaw and for the customer (consider non-aligned in strategy)
Constantly gather feedback on products and programs
Listen to customers for opportunities and pain points and work with internal teams to prioritize initiatives to create solutions
Ensure all strategies created within specialty retail are shared with peers to foster opportunities within all retail
Gather intelligence on competitive programs
Requirements:
Must live in market
Bachelor's Degree required
10+ years sales experience
Past leadership required
Travel 40%
