Job Description
The Bike Patrol Officer is responsible for monitoring the parking lots and garages while riding a bicycle to ensure the protection of casino assets and the safety of casino guests and employees. Duties include monitoring, inspecting and maintaining the condition of bicycle equipment, effectively communicates with various department managers, reports suspicious activity, and completes incident reports as needed, safeguards casinos property and assets. Provides superior guest service by greeting casino patrons, providing escorts and answering questions or inquiries related to the casino. Performs additional job duties as assigned by department manager.
Starting wage is $24.43/hr, increasing to $25.00/hr at successful completion of 90 day orientation period. This full-time position features excellent employer-paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
Experience & Requirements:
- Previous Security experience is required
- Ability to ride a bicycle for extended periods of time
- Extensive bicycle background (preferred)
- Must be able to effectively communicate with others and have good guest relation skills
- Additional education and or experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of this position
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours
- Must be able to maintain a high level on concentration
- The ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Mobility to climb stairs on a routine basis
- Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
All applicants must obtain a Class III A license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. However, the use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant unless the position requires driving a company vehicle.
