Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Neurology Nurse Practitioner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neurology and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for diagnosing and managing patients with neurological conditions, collaborating with physicians, and educating patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments and evaluations of patients.

- Diagnose and develop treatment plans for various neurological disorders, including but not limited to strokes, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and dementia.

- Perform patient examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate appropriate therapeutic interventions.

- Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary and providing ongoing management for chronic neurological conditions.

- Provide education to patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive health practices.

- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including neurologists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated and integrated care.

- Maintain accurate and timely patient records, documenting assessments, treatments, and follow-up care in compliance with regulatory standards.

- Participate in clinical research and keep current with advancements in neurology and nursing practice.

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.

Requirements

- Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Neurology or relevant field.

- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) and state licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.

- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
