Job Description

About the Role:

Are you relentlessly curious? Do you love solving problems with data? Are you looking for a place where you can learn fast, think big, and make a real impact from day one?

Perpay is searching for a sharp, motivated, and detail-obsessed Risk Analyst to join our Credit Strategy team. Whether you're a recent grad or have a couple years of experience, this is your opportunity to help shape how we assess and manage credit risk in a fast-growing FinTech environment. You'll work on high-impact projects that influence credit decisions, drive product strategy, and directly support responsible credit access for thousands of consumers.

No credit risk experience? No problem! You can thrive in this role if you are a strong generalist-someone who can dig into data, communicate insights clearly, and is hungry to keep learning.

Our greatest strength is our people and we'd love for you to be one of them!

What You'll Do:

  • Analyze credit portfolio performance and customer behavior to develop and refine risk strategies
  • Use SQL and other tools to investigate trends and answer key business questions
  • Build clear dashboards and reports that turn complex data into actionable insights
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, product, and data teams to shape Perpay's credit products
  • Translate findings into strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders
  • Support experiments, A/B tests, and new product features from a risk perspective

What We'll Bring:

  • Accelerated learning: Get hands-on training in risk analytics, SQL, product thinking, and credit strategy
  • Ownership: You'll own your projects end-to-end and see your work shape real decisions
  • Exposure: Present findings to senior leadership and collaborate across departments
  • Startup speed: Work in a fast-paced environment where your growth can match the company's
  • Mentorship: Join a team that invests in you and helps you level up-fast

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business-related field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science)
  • 0-2 years of professional experience in analytics, risk, or finance - internships and school projects count
  • Excellent written and verbal communication-you should be able to tell a story with data
  • Self-starter mindset with a love of problem-solving and a bias toward action
  • Strong SQL skills and a passion for working with data
  • Comfort in Excel; familiarity with concepts like ROI, cost-benefit analysis, and scenario modeling

Bonus:

  • Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
  • Exposure to a programming language like Python or R
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) or collaborative coding practices
  • Coursework or hands-on work in credit, lending, or financial risk

Hey, we know not everybody checks all the boxes, so if you're interested, please apply because you could be just what we're looking for!
