Job Summary

VARIABLE SHIFT SCHEDULE - SHIFT DIFF. PAY- FREE MEMBERSHIP!

Responsible for designing, implementing, and supervising fitness programs tailored to patients with varying medical conditions. This role involves collaboration with healthcare professionals to promote health, rehabilitation, and recovery through exercise and wellness initiatives.

Qualifications

VARIABLE SHIFT SCHEDULE - SHIFT DIFF. PAY- FREE GYM MEMBERSHIP!

Essential Functions Conduct initial fitness assessments to evaluate patients' physical capabilities and limitations.

Must complete NCCA approved personal training certification within one year of hire (preferred certification organizations NSCA, ACSM, NASM or ACE) and/or Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or equivalent. Candidate may be currently enrolled (and in good standing) in 3rd/4th year of an Exercise Science or comparable bachelor's degree program.

Licenses and Credentials

Heart Saver CPR AED [CPR] - American Heart Association (AHA) preferred Certified Personal Trainer- Data Conversion- Various Issuers preferred

Experience

Experience in a fitness, rehabilitation, or healthcare setting 3-5 years required and Experience working with diverse populations, including patients with chronic conditions, post-surgical recovery, and other rehabilitation needs 2-3 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of exercise physiology, rehabilitation techniques, and fitness assessment protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire individuals to achieve their fitness and rehabilitation goals.
  • Proficiency in using fitness assessment tools and technology.
