Job Description
The Pharmacist provides pharmacy oversight in all areas including but not limited to dispensing, counseling and technician/resident/student supervision while on duty. He/she assures that all pharmacy operations comply with state and federal laws and regulations. The pharmacist screens and processes orders, completing interventions and consults accurately and in a timely manner to optimize medication therapy. He/she assists with data collection for research purposes and works with the coordinator to procure medications through patient assistance methods.
Education
Bachelors in Pharmacy required
Experience
Experience in retail pharmacy preferred
Certification & Licensures
Virginia Pharmacy License required (or acquired within 90 days of hire)
Qualifications
Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, and interpret the appropriate information needed in order to provide care for the age group of patients served required
