Job Description

Provides pharmaceutical care by identifying, assessing, and solving medication problems under the direction of a preceptor.  Responsible for providing physician, staff and family (caregivers) with drug information.  Processes all prescription orders, maintaining appropriate records, and overseeing preparation, storage, and distribution of all  pharmaceuticals. Also responsible for the supervision of pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support personnel including pharmacy students.

Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.

Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures.

Education/License/Experience Requirements:

  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a pharmacist in Montana. Montana Licensure must be obtained either prior to or within 90 days of the start date of the residency. Extenuating circumstances for delayed licensure will be on a case-by-case basis.
  • Pharm.D. degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
