SUMMARY:

Analogic corporation is seeking a motivated RF engineer to be part of a dynamic RF design team to design and test new generation and existing HF/VHF RF amplifiers for industrial/medical applications with substantial growth potential. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development and test of new and existing RF amplifier products. The position requires in depth knowledge of RF and electrical engineering principles and concepts. This role requires an engineer with good problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly learn new technology and adjust to a dynamic work environment. This position is currently based in Peabody, MA and will be moving to Salem, NH in early 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Tests and validates existing RF circuitry and contributes to new RF product development
  • Experience with high power RF circuit design > 500 Watt
  • Experience with RF design in the HF and VHF frequency ranges (3MHz- 120MHz)
  • 4-5 years of hands-on RF design experience, including power amplifier design
  • Comfort with both theoretical and hands-on work
  • Designs PCB-level RF, and analog circuits to meet product specification and cost requirements
  • Able to identify and troubleshoot fundamental RF and analog circuit design issues
  • Experience with PSPICE analog circuit simulation tool
  • Collaborates with electrical, mechanical engineering, firmware, software and PCB design teams to yield outstanding new products
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a product development team

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or higher with a minimum of 5 years of RF design experience

COMPETENCIES:

  • Minimum of 5 years of RF power experience (500 Watt or greater) in the 3MHz- 120MHz frequency
  • Strong background in RF and analog circuit design fundamentals
  • Competency in impedance matching, and transmission line transformers principles
  • Experience working with test equipment, including oscilloscopes, network analyzers and spectrum analyzers
  • Experience with all phases of PCB design flow - specification, schematic capture and layout is desirable
  • Able to develop documentation for own design, including own design schematics
  • Knowledge of PCB design tools (Orcad Capture, CADENCE) for schematic creation
  • Ansys EM simulation experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with Python programming is a plus, but not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with LabVIEW is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the ability to stay focused on very complex and abstract concepts for extended periods of time.

WORK CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:

Work is in an office and lab environment. As such, work may involve interaction with high levels of AC/DC voltage and current and high levels of RF power. Position is also required to have basic soldering and assembly skills. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.

TRAVEL:

Occasional travel could be expected. Must be able to obtain a passport and visas
