Job Description

EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE:

  1. Education Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.

  3. Experience Two to Four years of Public Relations experience preferred.

REQUIRED SCREENINGS:

  5. Driver Record screen (positions requiring on-the-job driving)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and implement public relations and communication strategies to promote the organization's brand and mission.
  • Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media advisories, newsletters, and promotional content.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, and media outlets.
  • Coordinate and manage media interviews, press conferences, and public events.
  • Monitor media coverage and social media channels; analyze and report on the effectiveness of PR campaigns.
  • Manage social media accounts and engage with the public to enhance the organization's online presence.
  • Support crisis communication efforts by providing timely and accurate information during emergencies.
  • Represent Family Health West in all public communications via press release, interviews and media coverage.
  • Collaborate with marketing, leadership, and other departments to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Maintain and update media contact databases and communication materials.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of promotional campaigns and events to increase public awareness
  • Prepare reports on communication activities, outcomes, and media impact for senior management.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • General Office Equipment: computer, telephone, keyboard, scanner, mouse, etc.
  • Maintains a standard level of professionalism with patients, public and colleagues.
  • Responds to all inquiries professionally preserving confidentiality.
  • Maintain a positive and professional conduct through both verbal and non-verbal communication.
  • Maintains patient/resident/employee privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Attend staff meetings and in-service education.
  • Practice effective interpersonal skills and work productively as a member of a team.

Wage starts at $23.80
