Position Purpose

The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for managing the Vivent Health Pharmacy and its services, working in conjunction with Vivent Health. The Pharmacy Manager will oversee pharmacy location operations, review monthly financial statements, and staff management. The manager will manage relationships with other departments including the Medical Center and assure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and work collaboratively on billing and revenue generation strategies. The manager will also manage relationships with both internal Vivent Health stakeholders and external stakeholders.

Essential Functions

• Provide direction and oversight for the operations of the Vivent Health Pharmacy and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local government laws and regulations. Assure compliance with all Vivent Health Pharmacy service delivery standards.
• Provide management for the Vivent Health Pharmacy services including achieving high quality customer service, high levels of patient satisfaction, meeting patient enrollment goals, and addressing patient concerns and complaints.
• Manage collaborations within Vivent Health Medical Center, primarily physicians and nurse practitioners, and other Vivent Health departments, Social Services and Prevention, to optimize health outcomes for patients.
• Manage collaboration with community HIV providers and HIV-positive patients who access care outside of the Vivent Health Medical Center, to increase opportunities for improved health outcomes.
• Manage Vivent Health Pharmacy inventory systems to assure acquisition of medications, appropriate control, dispensing of medications, and reconciliation in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Direct Vivent Health Pharmacy operations including staff supervision and productivity standards to achieve high quality services.
• Mastery of the 340B program. A non-inclusive list including knowledge of laws, supervising staff to process prescriptions in the most profitable manner, and participation in updating compliance standards.
• In collaboration with Director of Pharmacy Services, manage Vivent Health Pharmacy financial operations including billing, revenue generation, and budget management.
• Excellent customer service skills, both to internal and external customers.
• Market pharmacy services to Vivent Health staff, patients, and other potential referral sources.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Applicable state license to practice pharmacy that is in good standing.
• At least 2+ years' experience as a leader of people.
• Preferred 3+ years pharmacy management or administration experience with oversight for fiscal management.
• Thorough understanding of pharmacy operations and evaluation with experience and commitment to statewide programming.
• Knowledge of health and social service needs of persons with HIV/AIDS.
• Knowledge of and sensitivity to the HIV/AIDS patient population, and/or an eagerness to learn about this community.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Spanish language (bilingual) is a plus.

Salary Range

Starting at $155,000 annually (Depending on Experience)
