Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include:
- Responsible for analyzing accounts receivable, monitoring, and performing advanced and highly complex levels of technical and analytical Revenue Cycle functions.
- Researches the root cause(s) for variances, accurately identifies process and system deficiencies, and reports key findings to department leadership.
- Partners with leadership to identify Revenue Cycle performance opportunities and collaborates on solutions.
- Assist in developing reporting, including building reports in our electronic health record system.
Essential responsibilities will include:
- Monitors and tracks Revenue Cycle KPIs in relation to department targets and goals.
- Researches and identifies accounts receivable opportunities for maximizing revenue.
- Researches and identifies systems and solutions to make end-users more efficient and successful.
- Supports implementation of new features and functionality within Epic.
- Research root cause analysis of variances as directed. Reports variances to relevant parties.
- Assists Revenue Cycle leadership in accessing Epic reporting and dashboards. Identifies, researches, and presents findings in a clear way and provides informed recommendations to department leadership.
- Researches and analyzes Revenue Cycle trends with existing Epic reporting and tools. Identifies denial trends and provides recommendations for prevention.
- Create and publish monthly/quarterly reporting of KPI's for divisions assigned or as needed.
- Assist Clinical Informaticist Team with troubleshooting TicketNow requests, developing and testing processes, creating new or modifying existing clinical workflows and training of material as needed.
- Reviews reimbursement details for existing or new services and provides feedback on deficiencies when identified. Works with TOC Contracting or Payor to resolve contract related payment variances.
- Manages payer contracts including analysis of contract experience, reviewing actual payments compared to expected reimbursement, plan performance comparisons, and assists with data to support contract negotiations. Identifies insurance issues and notifies department leadership.
- Prepare RVU modeling and other analysis of fee-for-service contracts. Compiles statistical reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary: Hiring range, based on experience and credentials: $31.95 - $43.19 per hour.
Workdays: This role is located at Central Administration office. Hybrid/Remote work is available once training is completed and expectations are met. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, (7:30 am-4:00 pm, Pacific Standard Time (P.S.T.))
Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including:
- Bachelor's degree in business information systems, Healthcare Administration, Contract Management or relevant field is required. Four (4) years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree will be accepted.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or informatics is required.
- Minimum five (5) years of progress experience in professional and revenue cycle functions in a healthcare setting is required.
- Previous Revenue Cycle leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of EPIC Experience is required.
- Expert knowledge in Epic Resolute- Professional billing.
- Advanced proficiency with Windows-based software, including but not limited to the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to handle large datasets and provide actionable insights.
- Advanced in Epic Radar Dashboards, Reporting Workbench, and Slicer Dicer.
- Interviewing/listening skills required to enable talking with individuals and groups about current processes and issues to ask the right questions to yield essential information that will be used to evaluate processes and determine potential solutions.
- Advanced presentation skills with proficiency in interacting with senior management and physician leadership.
- Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians and other team members.
