About this Position
The seasonal Golf Course Landscape Laborer will perform manual groundskeeper tasks for KickingBird Golf, including mowing, weed-eating, hand-watering the greens, and more. This greenskeeper role is a seasonal landscaper position that lasts throughout the spring and summer.
This maintenance helper role works from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm, or from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. This role includes weekend work.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Or be a current high school student
Some experience in golf course maintenance or a similar field
Some experience operating/maintaining machinery and equipment
Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
Responsibilities
- Perform various grounds maintenance tasks using vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Perform repairs or maintenance tasks on golf course grounds and buildings
- Maintain tools and equipment
- Mow grass, water greens, and work with plant life
- Operate and maintain electrical and hand tools
- Learn the operation of a clutch type (gear shift) transmission
- Build, paint, and repair golf course equipment, fences, and buildings
- Remove weeds, trash, snow, and other debris from the golf course, sidewalks, etc.
- Comply with safety rules and regulations
- Be available for duty at KickingBird Golf during hours as established by the Golf Course Superintendent
Necessary Skills
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors, potentially during inclement weather and intense heat
- Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position
- Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug test
