Accounting Manager

Kimco is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee accounting staff and manage all aspects of joint venture accounting and reporting.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparation and review of financial statements, reconciliations and journal entries 
• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to senior management and joint venture partners
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
• Work closely with other departments and joint venture partners    
• Prepare financial statements and footnotes for annual audits
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 7+ years of accounting experience 
• People management experience required
• Extensive Microsoft Office Suite experience, specifically in Excel
• Public accounting and/or recent real estate experience preferred  
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organization and communication skills
• Must thrive in a fast paced, team environment with the ability to form strong working relationships throughout the organization

The expected salary range for this position is between $100,000 and  $120,000.  The actual compensation will be based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, market and business considerations and other factors permitted by law.
