Clinical Pharmacist

Elevate care. Lead through expertise.

Join a dynamic pharmacy team that blends clinical excellence with innovation in patient care. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you'll play a central role in optimizing medication therapy, ensuring safe and effective drug use, and contributing to interprofessional patient management across inpatient settings.

This role offers the opportunity to grow within a clinically progressive environment-ideal for residency-trained pharmacists looking to advance their impact in acute care, quality improvement, and system-wide initiatives.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care through the verification of medication orders and assessment of patient profiles for optimal therapy and safety

  • Oversee and support pharmacy technicians and interns in medication preparation and distribution

  • Utilize clinical knowledge to assess therapeutic regimens, monitor outcomes, and provide recommendations to the care team

  • Participate in formulary management, clinical protocols, and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives

  • Support quality improvement projects, medication safety processes, and educational programs for pharmacy and medical staff

  • Contribute to departmental objectives including operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and patient satisfaction

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active Missouri pharmacist license with Medication Therapy Services (MTS) designation in good standing

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited program

  • Successful completion of Medical Staff Credentialing and Privileging

  • BLS and ACLS certification may be required based on unit; must be obtained within 6 months of hire (if applicable)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency training

  • Completion of PGY2 residency in a specialized area or pharmacy fellowship

  • Board Certification (e.g., BCPS, BCCCP, BCIDP) through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS)

  • Previous experience in acute/inpatient hospital pharmacy practice

Why Join Us?

We value clinical excellence, academic growth, and innovation. Whether you're a recent residency graduate or an experienced clinical pharmacist seeking a supportive environment for continued development, you'll find the opportunity to thrive here.
