We are looking for a Windows Server Engineer (ISS6) to join the Hybrid Compute Managed Services team within Data Center Services! As a Windows Server Engineer (ISS6), you will play a vital role in supporting and maintaining Windows server infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. You will work closely with customers and technical teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable systems that support the missions of over 150 Oregon state agencies, boards, and commissions. Your responsibilities will include building and configuring servers, automating deployments, troubleshooting incidents, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our hybrid compute services.

What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
Five (5) years of information systems experience in Windows server administration, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise systems support; OR;
An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND three (3) years of information systems experience in Windows server administration, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise systems support OR;
A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND one (1) year of information systems experience in Windows server administration, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise systems support.
Desired Attributes:
Experience building and supporting Windows Server environments, including Hyper-V or VMware virtualization.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
Proficiency in automation tools such as GitHub, Terraform, or other industry-standard code-repository and automation tools.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in enterprise environments.
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL, IIS, and Windows Defender integration.
Understanding of ITIL processes and service management practices.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
