Your day to day is…

• Defining and leading the Marketplace team's design strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals and user needs
• Mentoring and developing a team of designers and managers, focusing on career growth and team success
• Partnering with product and engineering to create exceptional, user-centered solutions
• Establishing and communicating a cohesive design vision while delivering on short- and long-term goals
• Reviewing and refining designs, roadmaps, and strategies, ensuring the highest quality and alignment
• Driving the integration of new features and technologies into the platform while maintaining a seamless experience
• Balancing big-picture strategy with actionable, incremental improvements
• Advocating for the role of design across the organization, inspiring teams to prioritize innovation and quality

You'll be successful in this role if you have…

• 10+ years of experience designing and delivering impactful user experiences, with strategic and measurable outcomes
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing and scaling design teams, ideally with specific growth and search design experience
• A proven track record of hiring, coaching, and retaining top design talent
• Experience driving adoption of new products, features, or technologies through strategic design
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
• A collaborative mindset, thriving in cross-functional partnerships with product and engineering
• A strong ability to think both strategically and tactically, balancing vision with execution
• A commitment to adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving environment
