At QuantAQ, we design and manufacture professional-grade air quality sensors for a variety of customer types (including research, government, and the private sector) to enable informed decision-making. We provide our customers with everything they need to build and manage distributed air quality sensor networks at scale, including our proprietary air quality sensors (developed through years of R+D at MIT) and our integrated software platform. We care deeply about using innovative technologies and socio-technological approaches to help businesses, governments, and community stakeholders obtain actionable air quality information.

What we're looking for
We are seeking an Engineering Technician to assemble and test devices, perform routine lab tasks, and package and ship products. The ideal candidate will have some experience working in a lab, machine shop, or manufacturing facility and be comfortable working in a light manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
In this position, you will work directly with the engineering staff. Responsibilities of this position include:
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with QuantAQ’s health and safety protocols
Work from drawings and diagrams to assemble, test, and verify products
Complete paperwork related to product assembly, testing, and verification
Perform end-of-month inventory
Manage part and consumable inventories
Organize shared lab spaces
Package and ship products
Qualifications
Experience in a production or manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical problems
Experience with minor electrical work (i.e., soldering)
Strong organization skills
Ability to challenge assumptions and think independently while executing quickly
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation for this position is competitive for Seed-stage companies in the Boston area. Benefits at QuantAQ include:
