Job Description
The Work
- You’ll lead the initial planning phase of construction projects by collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, and other involved parties to define project scope, identify materials, and develop detailed job descriptions. Ensure alignment with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
- You’ll develop, manage, and adjust project schedules by coordinating with all stakeholders to ensure that work progresses according to plan, with appropriate time allocated to meet deadlines while adhering to the project budget.
- You’ll prepare and submit budget estimates for construction projects, regularly monitor and communicate budget progress with clients, and make necessary adjustments in response to unforeseen issues or complications while maintaining cost controls.
- You’ll oversee and direct construction activities, ensuring that all aspects of the construction process are executed according to project plans, timelines, and quality standards, while managing resources and logistics effectively.
- You’ll ensure that all safety standards and regulations are followed on the jobsite, including OSHA and local safety codes, and implement safety programs and training to minimize risks and ensure worker well-being.
- You’ll oversee contract negotiations and ensure adherence to agreed terms by all parties involved in the project. Manage contract revisions and additions, ensuring that all changes are documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- You’ll act as the primary point of contact to address and resolve issues arising during the construction process, including work procedures, complaints, or design-related challenges, by collaborating with clients, contractors, and design professionals.
- You’ll lead and manage the response to delays, weather-related issues, or emergency situations that may arise during the construction process. Implement corrective actions to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
- You’ll foster and maintain positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including owners, managers, contractors, supervisors, and trade professionals, ensuring open communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- You’ll select, contract, and oversee subcontractors for specialized tasks such as plumbing or painting, ensuring that their work meets quality standards and adheres to project specifications. Provide guidance, supervision, and performance evaluations to ensure contractors meet project objectives and deadlines.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.

Here's what you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering or minimum of 3 years of experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction management
- Ability to lift 40 pounds or more and the ability to comply with personal protective equipment requirements
Bonus points if you have:
- Certified Construction Manager certification
- Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations
- Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays
- Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems
