Join ASM as an SPR&R Technician - Electrical and Testing Focus and help build the future of semiconductor technology—literally. You’ll work hands-on with first-of-its-kind tools, assembling and troubleshooting advanced systems in our New Product Introduction lab. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or mechanically minded individuals who want to grow their skills, contribute to next-generation technology, and launch a career with long-term potential.
What you will be working on
-
Assemble and test first-of-a-kind (FOAK) semiconductor tools and subsystems, with a focus on mechanical components.
-
Build and maintain ALD systems such as Pulsar XP, ensuring mechanical accuracy and alignment.
-
Conduct preventive maintenance to identify wear and prevent failures—supporting zero-defect goals.
-
Troubleshoot mechanical challenges during builds and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues.
-
Recommend improvements to streamline assembly processes and support cost and efficiency targets.
-
Work in a lab environment with strict adherence to 6S and safety protocols.
-
Communicate technical build requirements clearly (e.g., torque specs, alignment tolerances).
-
Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and support projects as needed—including occasional shift or weekend work.
What we are looking for
-
0–3 years of experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, or related fields.
-
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
-
A flexible, proactive mindset with the ability to work through ambiguity.
-
Full commitment to lab safety and cleanroom protocols.
What sets you apart
-
Technical training or coursework in machining, HVAC, automotive, or other mechanical fields.
-
Hands-on experience through hobbies or side projects (e.g., car mods, welding, woodworking, home renovation).
-
Familiarity with fasteners, pneumatics, alignment tools, or mechanical systems.
-
Recent graduates in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering who want to gain real-world experience before stepping into an engineering role.
*** Recent graduates with degrees in Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields who wish to start their career on the manufacturing floor—gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing processes, bills of materials, and quality before transitioning to an engineering role—are encouraged to apply.
