The pay for the position: $19.00 - $23:00 per hour

The starting pay rate is: 19:00 per hour

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 4am- 12pm

As a US FOODS Security Guard, you will be Responsible for continued efforts to secure the safety of our associates, products & facility. Guarding of our primary assets with US Foods property in Salem, VA. Assist with coordinating deliveries to specified docks/locations on our property & maintaining record of appointments of vendors, contractors, and customers. Your efforts are the foundation that defines US FOODS success based on our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• High School education or equivalent
• Security/Monitoring Experience like in kind
• Read & write legibly; able to follow orders; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); able to work with little direct supervision. Ability to use modern computers & software

MAIN INGREDIENTS

Great Security Guards are crucial to the US FOODS team and one of the important faces of our organization. Our Security Guards strive for integrity and reliability, while building trusting relationships with our team.

• Secure Gates during off hours
• Security checks around perimeter of site
• Record & Document Visitors
• Record & Document inbound deliveries
• Record & Document Dropped trailers
• Record & Document outbound hauls
• Record & Document Keys & Cards issued
• Record & Document any associate on sight during off hours
• Monitor Pallet Pickups
• Security Checks inside facility on Dock Doors Around Warehouse & Office areas
• Pass Out Facility Compliance brochure to visitors coming on sight
• Monitor all Contracted Employees coming on sight.
• Monitor & Record Temps on Refrigerated Trucks on lot
• Maintain physical & online schedules & record changes for US Food Drivers
• Maintain consistent communication with warehouse for deliveries
• Inspect invoices on material deliveries
• Monitor all facility alarms report any anomalies to Maintenance/Security Manager
• Monitor perimeter of facility utilizing camera infrastructure
• Record and monitor trailer temperatures
• Ensure anyone coming on sight has appointments & recording them.
• Drive facility perimeter for overall security during the back shifts, utilizing company truck
• Monitor security cameras and report any anomalies
• Effectively utilize computer systems & basic software to do reports & emails

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
