Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Major Gifts to join our team. This role is essential in managing a portfolio of major and planned gift prospects, developing long-term donor relationships, and supporting our philanthropic goals for the Mountain Plains region. As part of the organization's Major Gifts team, you will collaborate with regional colleagues, share best practices, and work in a matrixed environment.

Pay: $95k-105k annually, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a pipeline of major gift prospects, managing the full donor relationship lifecycle from identification through solicitation and stewardship.
- Develop and apply best practices in major gift and endowment fundraising and share experience with colleagues regarding success and difficulties.
- Conduct regular, personal, and meaningful interactions with priority donors and prospects through written communications, events, face-to-face meetings, and conversation.
- Work with staff, Philanthropy Committee and other key volunteers to recommend and implement appropriate cultivation and solicitation strategies.
- Utilize all appropriate research tools to identify prospect interest and giving potential.
- Collaborate with department colleagues to ensure a seamless transition for identified donors and prospects into major gifts development.
- Collaborate with National Philanthropy Team.
- Manage financial data and constituent information using Raiser's Edge database.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in individual major gift giving fund development.
- Proven success in managing volunteer leadership and fundraising efforts.
- Proficiency in MS Office and donor research tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in planned giving and capital campaigns.
- Familiarity with Raiser's Edge database management.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage high-net-worth donors.
